What is Good Life Resorts? 

Good Life Resorts is a small, family owned business founded in San Diego, California. Starting with individual vacation rentals and expanding into a full-fledged resort, the resort aims to provide a fully immersive overnight and social experience for large groups. 

 

Do you offer in-person tours? 

Yes. Please view our 'Contact Us' section to schedule a tour via Calendly and schedule an appropriate time with our host.

Do you offer meetings for additional comments, concerns, and help selecting a resort package? 

Yes. Please view our 'Get in Touch' section below to schedule an appropriate time for a Zoom meeting with our resort owner.

Is this a shared space? 

At our resort, there is a communal beach area and shared walkways between rentals but your unit is completely private and includes a private patio. For a completely private experience, you have the option to book out the full resort.

Does your resort have a common area/lounge? 

Absolutely. Our 'Beach Lobby' area is available to all guests and includes a beach bar, bbq's, and interactive games like corn-hole and jumbo connect four.

What household amenities do you include?

• Standard Cooking utensils (pots, pans, spatulas, bowls, cutting knives, baking sheets)

• Blenders, Coffee maker, coffee grinders, coffee bean

•  Paper Towels

• Extra blankets

• Central Air and Heating

• Wine opener/bottle opener

• Cups and mugs

Do you include bedspreads, pillows, and blankets?

Yes, all our rentals will have beds made with 1 pillow and 1 blanket minimum per bed. Queens and larger will have 2 of each available. Extra blankets are available upon request.

Do the rentals include a grill?

Yes, all our properties have a grill available with an included propane tank or gas line. 

​

Does the house have condiments?

Since the Covid pandemic, we do not leave condiments behind in our refrigerators, please plan to bring your own.

What is the safety and security at the resort? 

Surveillance cameras in our resort common areas and walkways are placed to ensure guest safety at all times.

Is there a private meeting space for our group to gather? 

We have several different spaces to choose from that you may book in addition to your lodging or is included in your package. View our brochure to see our extensive resort meeting spaces.

How long are we allowed to use the event space for? 

If renting out the entire resort, you can use any event space at anytime up until 10pm. Allotted event space time is outlined in your selected package.

Can I supply my own caterer for my retreat meeting/ event? 

Of course. Please view the 'Catering' section for your various catering options. 

 

How far in advance do you suggest booking my reservation? 

We suggest booking your reservation at least 2 months in advance to reserve your spot with us and ensure your party does not lose out on the booking. 

​

Can you suggest any group activities that would relate to my retreat's theme? 

We would love to! We are big believers in aligning what you teach with proposing interactive activities either on our resort property or suggesting an off-site activity by the resort.

Location

Where is your resort located? 

Our resort is located near Downtown San Diego and Gaslamp Quarter. We are nearby popular attractions such as Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, Little Italy, and Seaport Village. 

​

Is there parking on site?

Yes, there are 24 street spaces in front of the resort and 12 gated spaces available behind the resort for your convenience. To access the gated spaces, find your parking code in your Guest Area in the 'About the Rental' section.

Is the property accessible? 

Absolutely. Our resort is fully up to date with ADA compliant codes and fully accessible to wheelchair access.

Policies 

​

What is your cancellation policy? 

Up to 95% refund for cancellations. See terms per payment schedule. Refunds vary based on reservation types and amounts. 

​

I have less people than originally intended; can I get a discount since I will be using less bedrooms?

We do not offer discounts after a booking has already been made. We will however ensure that you have an AMAZING time with the people you show up with.

Does your resort allow dogs and cats? 

Yes, we allow dogs for a $40 fee/dog. We allow cats for a $65 fee/ cat. Animals must be leashed in common areas of the resort. Serious consequences will be imposed for those who fail to pay the associated fees.

What is your Covid-19 Cancellation policy?

Cash refunds will not exceed our standard cancellation policy under any circumstance. Each case will be examined and we will do our best to provide travel credit on a future rental. Credits will be provided at our discretion based on legally supported inability to travel. If a guest is choosing to not travel, there will be no guaranteed refund.

Are there noise restrictions? 

For retreat events, we ask that music to be turned off by 10pm. There are no formal rules regarding noise level during events or lodging, but we ask retreat guests to be mindful of other parties. 

 

Check-in/Check-out

What are your check-in and check-out times? 

Check in for our rentals is 5pm PST. Check out is 10 am PST.

​

Do you have early check-in or late check-out options? 

Yes, we do! You may upgrade your reservation during your pre-check in or through your guest app. 

​

How do I access my rental?

All doors associated to our rentals use a digital lock. You will receive the code to your rental by 10 am the morning of your arrival via your 'Guest Area'. Please make sure you have completed your pre-check in prior to receiving your rental code, if you have not completed your pre-check in, you will not receive your rental code.

​

What are we responsible for when we check out?

Check-out instructions can be found in your Guest Area. Please follow the instructions for a smooth check-out process.
